Reminder - Workshop at UN Commission on the Status of Women - March 4

Just a quick reminder that you are invited to join us at the United Nations next week.

Religion, Culture and Violence Against Women
Monday - March 4, 2013
4:30 PM
Guild Hall
Armenian Convention Center
630 2nd Avenue
New York

Religion, Culture and Violence Against Women will explore vital questions at the intersection of women's issues and religion, particularly as they relate to this year's UN-CSW focus on violence against women: What has been the use of religious doctrine to justify violence against women and does religion have the precepts, influence and power to change these age-old beliefs and practices? What are the current challenges and opportunities for women - of all faiths and in all countries? How do we create real change? And how can we support one another in making change? Presentations from diverse religious traditions will be followed by small group discussions.
